Heart Storage Bench...

As storage benches go this is a beauty.

Made entirely from hand-finished, Grade A Teak Wood with a lovely heart-shaped hole in the centre of the back-rest.

And it’s sturdy, really sturdy – all joints are reinforced with teak dowels and the mainframes are thick and chunky pieces of solid teak finished that smoothly you won’t need a cushion.

The feet have rubber caps fitted to protect the wood when it’s in situ and there are three hinges along the back of the open-up seat that covers the storage area.

To add character the craftsman has added little ornate touches on the arms and the uprights.

The finish inside the storage area is of just the same high quality as the rest of the bench.

This bench is assembled for you on delivery.

Teak is the best wood for outdoor use – particularly the Grade A varieties that we use.

Its high natural oil content gives it natural resistance to massive ranges of temperature moisture uptake and insect attack meaning that it won’t crack or split over time.

The dense nature of the wood makes it easy to work hence the superior finish that’s so apparent with teak furniture in general.

Over time the wood will assume a silver-grey patina this process can be halted or improved to taste by observing the guidelines in our Teak Care Advice page.
