York 2.4m Reclaimed Teak Table ...
FUNCTIONAL AND INVITING …
Up to eight people will fit round this reclaimed teak table with room to spare meaning it lends itself to commercial environments or larger homes.
Genuine hand-picked reclaimed teak is lovingly crafted by hand and the n finished with a black wash that highlights the grain beautifully and gives it a rustic appeal as well.
A tour de force of indoor and outdoor dining …
Just like all our reclaimed teak furniture this is hand-built by time-served crafts people a quality that becomes apparent when you look at the detail.
A lot of the reclaimed teak on the market today has joints that are bolted together or is produced en mass using inferior building mathods and/or timber. This makes the timber more liable to warping or splitting and the joints often loosen over time.
Not with our reclaimed teak tables …
Mortice and tenon joints are cut by hand and then reinforced with teak dowels and these are then further reinforced by chunky holding panels bolted to the mainframe that offer long-lasting strength every time.
At 12cm thick and double reinforced the table top is strengthened underneath with teak rivets and the legs are chunkily thick at 11cm thick.
Totally bespoke – the only thing they all have in common is steadfast quality …
The tight knit grain swirls beautifully across the length of the table – a quality only found in A Grade Reclaimed Teak – and the fact it is reclaimed means it does its piece for environmental concerns around deforestation overseas.
This also gives it unrivalled resistance to the elements when used outside the home – the abundant oil content offers low moisture uptake and natural protection against chemical attack, fire and insects.
